Alright everyone, I finally opened a store for the bibs that my mom and I are making.  I'm still working on adding listings and we're still trying to increase our inventory, so there isn't much to look at just yet.  Smiley

Those bibs are really cute.   Does the needlework take a long time to do? I use to do a little bit of needlework or embroidery. I started working on a two pillow cases that need to be completed. Bought that over 4 years ago and only finish embroider one pillow case. Still have to do the other.

The bibs are small enough that the patterns don't take very long.  A couple of the bibs I had done in one day.  One per day, that is.  We will be making medium size and large ones as well, which will take a bit longer.  Being a stay-at-home mom makes it easier to crank them out.  Unfortunately, I am having to look for a job outside the home, so that will take up a lot of the time I have now to do these bibs.  It's all in God's hands, so whatever he deems right for me right now, then that's what I'll do.  :)

Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback!  I plan to add new bibs to the site often, as they don't take long to make.  Probably every 2-3 days, if not more often.  I added a new one last night.  :)

Kristi congrats on your first sale an dhope you get many more. I saw some bibs at walmart wher you can cross stitch on them but they are not that cheap. Plain white and think it cost $5 each. I was there pricing material. I just cannot believe how expensive nice material is to buy.

Really?  The ones I bought were only like $1.50, or something like that.  These are the small ones.  I haven't seen any of the larger ones at our Wal-Mart, or any of our craft stores for that matter.  For the larger sizes, my mom and I are just making the whole thing and sewing it together.  It's much cheaper that way.

When I visited my parents last month, we went to Hobby Lobby to check out what they had and they had some really neat ideas for cross stitch baby things.  They had bath towels and hand rags.  I hope that we will be able to make those some day.  Once we really get this whole thing going.

Wow Kristi those look great. You have a few on your site. I think what you should do it try and sell two on ebay and see how that goes.

I am also thinking about making something and selling it but at this stage not to sure. Was thinking of making kids headbands. My sister gave my daughtre one that comes from Portugal and it is really nice. Made out of material and elastic. I want to go back to Walmart but without the kids and see whatthey have in the craft section to give me ideas.

The decision between Etsy and Ebay was a tough decision.  After doing much research, I decided to use Etsy over Ebay.  The main reason is the cost.  In order to open a store with Ebay, it would cost at least $15.00 per month plus listing and selling fees.  With Etsy, you just pay the listing and selling fees, and they are much less than Ebay.  The only thing I really like about Ebay is that they advertise on the major search engines and Etsy does not.  At some point, I hope to create my own store website.
